Expressive Drawing

Drawing is a frame of mind, a loving embrace if you will.

Letting go control of how something is going to turn out isn’t easy for someone who is an itty bitty perfectionist and lover of control, but I’m trying.  Over the weekend I did two sketches that I wasn’t going to share at first because they aren’t wonderful, but then I realized, they are wonderful.  Wonderfully expressive drawings and I like them.  I’ll be doing more of this in the future for sure.

Cheers,

About B

Brianne is a Canadian gal who loves living in a small town nestled at the base of the Rockies. Her full time job pays with hugs, kisses, and other such joys since she is a stay at home mama; she loves it. When tiny heads hit their pillows during naps and bedtime Brianne scampers off to grab a few moments of creating or some quiet time with her husband who is pretty good about her love affair with her sewing machine and dolls. Brianne’s first love was sewing, but even at that it was only discovered a couple years ago. A few short months ago Brianne ventured into a new addiction, doll making; she never expected to fall in love with the creating of each doll quite the way that she has. For the time being Brianne and her sewing machine have put aside sewing clothes to focus on her doll making.

it’s amazing how much these women are saying without words! I love the mouth on the second one. Can she not say something or should she not say something?
