Cluttering my “Workbench” This Week

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

————————

As stated here Oren sang while I sewed, and sew did I!  I got two muslins done, a full dress and a alternate choice for the top.  Got to run by the home of Miss S Tuesday night and try them on her and….

………can you sing the heavenly angels singing?!…….

with minor tweaks these are going to fit her.

You have no idea how thrilled this makes me.  This project has been haunting me but it seems I’ve finally gotten the best out of it!  Yay!

These muslins are totally H-O-T and with the three different fabrics in this one I’m sure there’s going to be a huge demand for it next season….watch the runway for B inspired mumu dresses…you know it’s going to happen.

Now I have to take the above pile of fabric and turn them into dresses.  If things work out well it should be a cinch.  I only have 4 to do, that’s nothing right?  Right?  Come on, humor me here.

That’s what’s cluttering my workbench today.  Let’s see if I can get them done before a small skiff of dust gathers on that pile since I just dusted it off.  What’s got you busy today while I go nuts with the scissors?

Cheers,

B

About B

Brianne is a Canadian gal who loves living in a small town nestled at the base of the Rockies. Her full time job pays with hugs, kisses, and other such joys since she is a stay at home mama; she loves it. When tiny heads hit their pillows during naps and bedtime Brianne scampers off to grab a few moments of creating or some quiet time with her husband who is pretty good about her love affair with her sewing machine and dolls. Brianne’s first love was sewing, but even at that it was only discovered a couple years ago. A few short months ago Brianne ventured into a new addiction, doll making; she never expected to fall in love with the creating of each doll quite the way that she has. For the time being Brianne and her sewing machine have put aside sewing clothes to focus on her doll making.

I love the patterns together! I only sew crooked lines and haven’t found the skills/patience to use a pattern so I am in awe of those who can! Can’t wait to see what your 4 dresses look like!

Love your mix of materials! and great photos too! Today I am working an artists’ collaborative store here in No. CA. I like being surrounded by art work, but slow, slow, slow…Started the morning off in my new art studio — could only spend 15 minutes but it was worth it — a reminder of where my heart is!

I want a B inspired MuMu dress! Today was some bookwork ( sometimes imjust gotta get caught up ) started a new blog post and made a conscious effort to call some friends I haven’t talked to in awhile. Sometimes i get so busy in my studio that I forget my friends. Then I get lonely and it was me who dropped the ball. Terah

Wow! That is stunning, and so much cuter than the ones I usually see here in Hawaii, home of the mumu. You could set up a shop here. Love it!
